Hitachi Beer Brewery unveils its new lager, "Hitachi Beer Lager"
Hitachi Beer Brewery announced the debut of its new product, "Hitachi Beer Lager," on Instagram. As the first microbrewery in Hitachi City, established in 2024, it is worth watching as a new drink born from the region.
In an Instagram post titled "Hitachi Beer Lager debut...", Hitachi Beer Brewery announced the arrival of a new lager beer. The post title suggests that "Hitachi Beer Lager" is being added as a new offering from the brewery.
Hitachi Beer Brewery is a microbrewery in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture. It opened in June 2024 inside Second Earth Diner Hitachi Main Store in Bentencho as the first microbrewery in Hitachi City. Designed so that visitors can watch the brewing process from the beer hall, it has an annual production capacity of 15,000 liters and continues to make beers with a strong local identity.
So far, the brewery has developed original brands that incorporate Hitachi's scenery and seasonal feel into the beer names. For example, "Sakura Hitachia Ale," which evokes the cherry blossoms of the city, and other labels that reflect local landscapes are representative examples. Within that flow, this new lager can be seen as an addition that brings a fresh expression to the brewery's lineup.
Lager is known as a style appreciated for its crisp finish and easy pairing with meals. Given that Hitachi Beer Brewery is rooted in the everyday life of the local area, this new release also seems like a beer that could be enjoyed not only as a drink inside the shop, but also alongside food in the city of Hitachi. As a local brewery continues adding beers named after its own hometown, its future developments are definitely worth watching.
