On April 6, 2026, Ryusendo Wakka in Iwaizumi Town, Iwate Prefecture, announced that it will make its first appearance at a market at the commercial facility monaka in Morioka City. The booth will be open for two days, Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, where it will serve its original craft beer brewed at the in-house brewery on draft, along with an advance sale of its spring-limited brew 'Harugasumi IPA'.
The featured 'Harugasumi IPA' is said to make luxurious use of sake lees from Ryusen Yaezakura daiginjo, and is characterized by a fruity flavor reminiscent of white peach. In addition, the brewery's regular beers, 'Zakkoku Weizen', 'Strong Ale', and 'IPA', are also slated to be available on draft.
Ryusendo Wakka is a facility with a brewery attached in Iwaizumi Town, Iwate Prefecture. Its official website says it produces craft beer using water from Ryusendo Cave and locally sourced ingredients, and that it serves as a place for exchange equipped with a shop and taproom. In addition to beer making that makes use of Ryusendo Cave water, it also functions as a place that handles ingredients from Iwaizumi Town and the Sanriku coast, as well as local sake and specialty products.
This appearance, where beer born in Iwaizumi can be tasted directly in Morioka, is likely to become an opportunity to learn about the brewery's character. By lining up the limited spring brew alongside its regular beers, the outline of the "starting from water" craftsmanship Ryusendo Wakka aims for should come into even clearer focus.
