Miyakoji Hop Garden Brewery's stout is used in LUSH shampoo "Rana"
Miyakoji Hop Garden Brewery in Tamura, Fukushima, has partnered with LUSH to use its special black beer, Aengus, in the shampoo Rana. The collaboration rolls out from June 5 at LUSH stores and HOP JAPAN direct shops.
Miyakoji Hop Garden Brewery, located inside Green Park Miyakoji in Tamura City, Fukushima, is a craft brewery that also grows hops. On its official site, the brewery says it aims to connect people, things, and experiences through beer, while building a local production model rooted in the region.
For this collaboration, the brewery produced a special dark beer called Aengus. According to the Instagram post, it is a Modern Irish Stout with the rich character of a black beer, but with restrained roast notes and bitterness for a gentler profile. That beer was used to create LUSH's shampoo Rana.
Sales begin on June 5. The product will be available in limited quantities at LUSH stores nationwide, as well as at LUSH Koriyama Station. At HOP JAPAN direct stores, visitors can try Rana in store through June 19. The project brings together a brewery focused on ingredients and a cosmetics brand known for ingredient-driven products.
