August schedule

ozigi brewing Hakodate Beer Brewery announced two event appearances for August. The first is East Japan Craft Beer Summer Festival on August 1-2 (Saturday and Sunday) in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. The venue is Marumaru Higashi-Nihon, and the brewery says this will be its first event in Saitama.

The second is Dounan Craft Beer Garden in Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station on August 22-23. The event will be held in the plaza in front of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station and brings together four breweries from the Dounan area, including a tasting set.

Hakodate remains open

The post also says the brewery-restaurant at 16-13 Suehirocho, Hakodate will operate normally on both event dates. Guests can dine in, or take beer out in bottles or plastic cups, making it easy to stop by while summer events are taking place around Hakodate.

The venue itself is set in a renovated warehouse that is roughly 100 years old, with a brewery attached behind the restaurant. It is the kind of place where the brewing setup and the bar experience feel closely connected.

What to drink

The post does not name specific beers, but the brewery's guide page lists house-brewed styles such as APA, IPA, Hazy IPA, Hefe Weizen, Classic Saison, and Kölsch, along with original fruit beers. That gives the tap list a mix of hop-forward choices and lighter, fruit-driven options.

For August, ozigi brewing is splitting its attention between an out-of-town event run and its regular Hakodate base. Beer fans can catch the brewery both on the road and at home this month.
