Two Hazy Beers from Trademark Brewing and Totopia Brewery Tapped at folk burgers & beers in Jimbocho
On March 29, folk burgers & beers in Jimbocho announced on Instagram that it had tapped Trademark Brewing's "Puffers & Eels" and Totopia Brewery's "Keyphobia." Both were introduced as clean, easy-drinking hazies well suited to early spring.
The Jimbocho spot folk burgers & beers is a beer pub where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled burgers and craft beer together. Its official website says the tap lineup usually includes 4 to 5 craft beers at all times, with labels changing regularly, making it a place where part of the fun is finding the right burger-and-beer pairing.
In its March 29 Instagram post, the shop said that the previous day's customer traffic had reached about 1.5 times its usual level, and announced, "Today's bun stock is low, and we will close once we sell out." It then listed the following two guest beers as newly tapped:
- Puffers & Eels / Trademark Brewing
- Keyphobia / Totopia Brewery
The shop described both as "refreshing hazies that are perfect for this warming season." Just from the names, they sound firmly in hazy territory, but the introduction suggests styles that don't lean too heavily into richness, making them seem like a perfect fit for a spring drink.
One of folk burgers & beers' strengths is how closely burgers and beer are matched. Pair a nicely charred patty with a lively hazy like these, and the beer will support the meat's flavor while keeping the palate fresh. Especially for days around Jimbocho when you want "both a proper meal and a proper beer," it seems like an easy choice.
It is also easy to get to from Jimbocho Station, which makes it appealing as a place to drop by when a beer you're interested in shows up. Because the taps change quickly, anyone curious about this guest lineup will want to check it out soon.
