Beer Overview

At the beer pub Repubrew Mishima Slider House 24taps in Ichibancho, Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, you can enjoy Repubrew's guest beer "Peach and Apricot Duet WEIZEN." This fruit Weizen made with white peach and apricot is being presented as a summer-friendly pint.

The base is a Weizen brewed with about 60% wheat malt. The mouthfeel is smooth, and the yeast-derived banana and clove aromas remain firmly present. On top of that, the scent of white peach rises first, and as you keep drinking, the sweet aroma of apricot and a slight astringency layer in. It gives the impression of biting into the fruit itself, resulting in a beer that is clearly fruit beer while still unmistakably retaining Weizen character.

The specs are ABV 4.5% and IBU 9.2. Bitterness is kept modest, and the recipe is designed to let you enjoy layers of aroma while keeping the beer light and easy to drink. Suggested pairings include prosciutto, rare cheesecake, and mint sherbet, making it appealingly easy to match with everything from appetizers to dessert.

As the name 24Taps suggests, the fun of choosing from the taps is another hallmark of this place. It's a guest beer we want not only fruit Weizen fans to try, but also anyone looking for a slightly different expression from a peach beer.
