Sankt Gallen TAP ROOM in Hon-Atsugi pours seasonal watermelon wheat beer
Sankt Gallen TAP ROOM, steps from Hon-Atsugi Station, is featuring the seasonal draft beer Suika Wheat. Brewed with about 220 kg of watermelon puree per batch, it is offered alongside a 20-tap lineup and stone-oven food.
A summer glass on draft
To match Watermelon Day on July 27, Sankt Gallen TAP ROOM is highlighting its draft-only fruit beer, Suika Wheat. The beer is based on a wheat ale made with wheat malt, and each batch uses about 220 kg of watermelon puree. Pink dragon fruit is added as well, giving the beer a vivid look and a refreshing summer profile.
Located just outside Hon-Atsugi Station's north exit, the shop is Sankt Gallen's directly operated beer pub. Its key appeal is a 20-tap lineup of freshly delivered beer straight from the brewery. Along with Suika Wheat, the taproom also offers Sankt Gallen favorites such as YOKOHAMA XPA, Shonan Gold, and Pineapple Ale, making it a strong stop for fans who want to compare styles and flavors.
Food is centered on beer-friendly dishes such as stone-oven pizza, ajillo, and chicken. With regular, half, tasting flights, and crawler takeaway available, guests can choose between drinking in the pub or taking beer home. It is an easy place to enjoy a seasonal fruit beer in a relaxed, station-adjacent setting.
