Susukino Ale STAND Introduces Bifuka Shirakaba Brewery's "Hanamuke"
Susukino Ale STAND, a beer pub in Sapporo's Susukino district, introduced Bifuka Shirakaba Brewery's Session IPA "Hanamuke" on Instagram. This beer uses birch sap as part of the brewing water, and it can be enjoyed both in the venue and as takeout. Being able to drink from 10:00 a.m. is also very much in keeping with the shop.
Susukino Ale STAND, located on B1F of COCONO SUSUKINO in Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido, introduced Bifuka Shirakaba Brewery's "Hanamuke" as a guest beer on Instagram.
"Hanamuke" has an ABV of 4.0% and is a Session IPA. In the post, one of its major features is that birch sap is used as part of the brewing water, and it is described as having a mellow mouthfeel and a gentle, forest-like nuance. On top of that, the bright citrus-hop aroma typical of a Session IPA comes through, and with the lower alcohol content, it finishes in a way that feels light and easy to drink.
The shop's appeal also lies in its convenience as a beer pub where you can drink from 10:00 a.m. in the heart of Susukino. It is easy to choose for a first drink before meeting up or as an entry point for daytime drinking, and visitors are told they can enjoy it both in-house and as takeout. In addition, since stock checks and hold requests can also be made through the shop's EC site, it is easy to use not only for drinking on site but also for reserving a label you're interested in for home.
"Hanamuke" balances locally rooted ingredients with drinkability. At Susukino Ale STAND, it is a beer worth checking out as a pour that lets you feel the character of a Hokkaido brewery while staying in the middle of Sapporo.
