Onna Beer Turquoise

At Onna Beer TURQUOISE in Maeda, Onna Village, there’s a microbrewery inside a dive shop. It’s such an unbelievable location.

The brewery was started from scratch by Ai Yamaguchi, who is both the president of the dive shop Sword Fish and the head brewer, with the goal of energizing Onna Village even more. The first floor is the brewery, and you can drink freshly brewed beer on the Ocean Terrace and rooftop on the third floor.

And there’s a series called "ONNA NABEE ALE," made entirely from ingredients grown in Onna Village. There are six kinds: pineapple, mango, shikuwasa, guava, bitter melon, and island banana.

Onna Village is one of the top resort areas on Okinawa’s main island, but it also has abundant agricultural products. Being able to create this much variety from ingredients grown only there really shows just how much potential Onna Village has.

Exactly. The concept is "the sound of the waves and the sea breeze are the spice." It turns into an experience that could only exist in Onna Village: playing in the ocean and drinking a tropical ale while feeling the salt breeze.

Yes, you can get it there too. But I think the best way is to drink it right in front of the sea at Maeda. I hope people enjoy the scenery behind the beer as part of the flavor.
