Hop BroIt was founded in 2020 inside Aogiri, a support center for people with disabilities operated by the social welfare corporation Azumi no Mori. As part of a Type B continuous employment support program, the facility's users handle bottling, labeling, and cleaning the equipment.

Hop BroHead brewer Makoto Tagami is from Fukuyama and has long experience in brewing. Their guiding concept is, "Use organic ingredients and make diverse beers with diverse people, in diverse ways" - and they really embody that, not just in words.
MugiThat's a wonderful concept. What are the beers themselves like?
Hop BroThe three flagship beers are great: "Onomichi Pale Ale," "Onomichi White Ale," and "Onomichi Honey Lemon." Honey Lemon is a tart Berliner Weisse style, and it uses lemons from Setoda Town and honey from Onomichi.

Hop BroThe seasonal releases are interesting too, like "Hassaku Ale" made with hassaku from Innoshima, "Very Berry Ale" with Onomichi strawberries and mixed berries, and "Onomichi IPA" made with blood oranges from Onomichi. They really make the most of Setouchi citrus and fruit.
