Hop BroExactly! In the Mikawa dialect, “oiden” means “come on in” or “come here.” It probably comes from Toyota’s summer staple, the Oiden Festival. The local love is right there in the name.

Hop BroWhat’s interesting is the location: they do in-house brewing on the first floor of Sun Royal Umemura in Sakaemachi, Toyota City. Not a big factory, but a small space right in the middle of town.

Hop BroIt’s such a new brewery that there’s still hardly any information out there, so it’s really a brewery on the way up. It’s also in an area close to Toyota Station, which makes it easy to stop by casually.
MugiOn the flip side, the lack of information means that if you go now, you might get a chance to talk directly with the brewer! That’s one of the pleasures of a small brewery. I’m definitely checking it out next time I’m in Toyota!
