CinCin Brewery in Yamanakako has a truly one-of-a-kind location. At 1,001 meters above sea level, it is the first lakeside brewery in the Fuji Five Lakes area.

1,001 meters above sea level!? They're brewing beer almost on a mountain!?

Exactly. And the name "CinCin" means "cheers" in French. It comes from the sound of glasses clinking. On the first floor, there are five 5BBL brewing tanks and ten fermentation tanks, and they are directly connected by hose to the counter in the taproom on the second floor.

What!? The beer made downstairs comes straight up? That has such an amazing fresh-made feel!

That's the biggest selling point. The brewing water also comes from underground spring water from Mt. Fuji. And the beer lineup is bold. "Hazy IPA" is a dry-finishing Dry Hazy style, "Yamanakako Forest" is a beer inspired by the forest, and "Fuji Bitter Ale" is a UK IPA style that uses Saaz and Kent Goldings and comes in at 5.2% ABV.

Saaz is a Czech hop, right? A Czech hop in a UK IPA...?

Good catch! The combination of Saaz and Kent Goldings leans toward traditional British bitter while still adding its own original twist. They also have things like "CinCin Coffee Stout," "Camp Session IPA," and "Fuji Yuzu," which uses yuzu.

Coffee stout and yuzu beer! The variety is incredible!

They regularly host a music event called "TAPROOM SESSION," making it a place where you can enjoy beer and live performances. It's dog-friendly too, so you can bring your dog, which is another great point.

Being able to drink craft beer with your dog at 1,000 meters above sea level sounds like the best location ever! I definitely want to go in summer!
