What kind of brewery is Old Boys Brewing?

There’s an interesting brewery in Hachioji called Old Boys Brewing. It originally brewed in a basement in Roppongi, but the owner, Mr. Tanaka, is from Hachioji, and in 2024 he moved back to his hometown.

Exactly. Lunch time starts at 11 a.m. As for beer, they usually have 5 to 10 kinds on tap, and when a keg runs out, they switch to the next beer, so you get something different every time you go. It’s truly one of a kind.

Their Hazy IPA is fruity, with sweetness and bitterness coexisting in the finish, and Tokyo SMOOTH, a pale ale, is crisp with a refreshing aftertaste. They also make beers using Hachioji yuzu and other local ingredients, which is really interesting.
