Mugibal, a beer pub in Nishi-Kamata, Ota City, Tokyo, posted on August 30 that its summer-only salt-dare pork kimchi has been so well received that it may stay on after summer. The post also notes a common restaurant challenge: if a dish stays on the menu, sales can sometimes drop.

The pairing for the day was Anti-Gravity from Ise Kadoya Beer with the pork kimchi. It is a straightforward, beer-friendly food and drink setup that fits the pub’s casual craft-beer style. The shop sits in the Kamata West Exit area, making it an easy stop for a local beer break.

Mugibal also shared a concrete draft lineup. The current taps include Mata Ashita Hazy IPA (Y Market Brewing), I.P.A (North Island Beer), Meyer Lemon Radler (Ise Kadoya Beer), Marihana (COEDO), and Jukusen (Asahi). The next beers up are Hysteric IPA (Y Market Brewing), Nbanana! Honey Golden Ale (Hansharo Beer), and FRESH HOP IPA (Sankt Gallen). The range spans hazy IPA, radler, golden ale, and more, giving the pub a broad Japanese craft-beer lineup.
