B.M.B Brewery releases "Routine," a cherry cola-inspired sour ale
B.M.B Brewery in Miyazaki City has introduced Routine, a new sour ale built around a cherry cola flavor profile. The 6.5% ABV beer is presented as an anniversary release for BEERBOMB.
Miyazaki-based B.M.B Brewery has listed a new beer called Routine on its online shop. The style is Cherry Cola Sour Ale, and the beer comes in at 6.5% ABV. According to the product description, it was created as an anniversary beer for BEERBOMB, tied to a milestone described as 6.5 years of nights in Nishi-Shinjuku.
The brewery says the beer starts with a simple ale base. During fermentation, lemon and lime juice are added to build the foundation of the acidity. In the finishing stage, cherry cola flavoring is used to layer in a spicy aroma that evokes a certain soft drink. The description also points to spice notes reminiscent of craft cola, along with impressions similar to almond and star anise.
B.M.B Brewery, based in Miyazaki City in Japan’s Miyazaki Prefecture, has been active with distinctive releases and collaborations. Routine looks designed to lean into aroma as much as acidity, making it an interesting sour ale for drinkers who want something that sits between citrus brightness, cola-like spice, and a dry, lively finish.
