The beer pub The DAY east tokyo in Asakusa, Tokyo, has been announced as a vendor at the Kakegawa Beer Festa. Although its role at the venue is food service, the shop's real strength still leans firmly toward craft beer.

At the shop, eight taps are always available with craft beers selected from Japan and abroad, and staff can help guests choose according to their preferences. Takeout is also available, making it very much an Asakusa-style choice to grab a drink for a stroll through Sumida Park.

To pair with the beer, the shop offers house-made sausages. Five to six varieties rotate daily, including "Coarse-ground," based on Italian salsiccia; "Spicy Lamb," seasoned with spices and herbs; "Crunchy," scented with yuzu kosho; "Squid Ink BLACK," packed with concentrated umami; and "Boudin Blanc," made with pork jowl. The special hot dog buns are also made by Manufacture in Asakusa, leaving nothing to be desired as a beer companion.

The shop is within walking distance of Asakusa Station. With an open facade equipped with benches and a standing counter, it has the kind of atmosphere that makes it easy to drop in while sightseeing. Even at the event venue, it is easy to imagine the shop's familiar flow of "drink, bite, and another round."
