In a June 8 post, IBREW Ebisu Ekimae opened with a playful aside about the Chinese name for Krillin in the Chinese version of Dragon Ball, then moved on to its current operations and upcoming June programming. The venue is a beer pub in the basement of a building right by Ebisu Station, open every day from 13:00 to 23:00, giving it both a casual Ebisu feel and the kind of atmosphere people want when they settle in for a proper drink.

The main highlight is the June 20 event, “Mogura and Bak Kut Teh Festival (tentative).” According to the post, Kyoto-based Bighand Bros.Beer and its affiliated bak kut teh shop booboobakkutteh will head to the Ebisu basement. The post also says members of Bighand Bros.Beer will visit on the day, positioning the brewery as the headline name for the event.

The same post also announces that IBREW Ebisu Ekimae’s women-only course will be extended through May and June. It includes all-you-can-drink access to about 35 beers plus other drinks, along with appetizers, salad, fish and chips, and steak. Prices are 3,000 yen for a 2-hour course and 3,500 yen for a 3-hour course, with a birthday plate available for an additional 500 yen. A June-only Father’s Day plan is also available, making the venue a place where beer, food, and event programming come together in one stop.
