Kirizumi Brewery, located near Usui Pass in Annaka, Gunma, has introduced a new canned beer: a Munich Helles. The beer had been well received at a beer festival in Takasaki in May and was served on tap before being packaged, making it the first release to mark the brewery's one-year anniversary.

The brewery describes the beer as a refreshing yet gentle and soft drink, well suited to the coming season. Brewed with French hops, it appears to balance a clean lager profile with a rounded aromatic touch. Rather than pushing bold intensity, the beer seems built around clarity, drinkability, and a calm finish.

The can design uses a deep navy base inspired by the local night sky, bringing a sense of place into the package as well as the beer itself. For a young brewery in a region associated with the route toward Karuizawa, this is a notable step: a tap favorite moving into cans and reaching a wider audience as the brewery enters its second year.
