Beer House Hobbit Announces Six Draft Beers for May 28, Plus a Vegetable Plate with Sea Grapes
On May 28, Beer House Hobbit in Hirakata, Osaka, introduced a total of six draft beers, including selections from Yatsugatake Brewery and Kuninocho Beer. The post also announced a fresh vegetable plate topped with Okinawa-grown sea grapes, along with a seafood curry planned for the weekend.
Beer House Hobbit is a beer pub located in Kawaramachi, Hirakata City. In its Thursday, May 28 post, it unveiled the draft beers for the day along with an announcement for food featuring "sea grapes from Okinawa Prefecture." It said it had stocked large-grained sea grapes, which would be served as a topping on the salad in the vegetable plate.
There were six draft beers that day. The lineup consisted of Yatsugatake Brewery's "Shirakaba Beat," Kuninocho Beer’s "Kijo Gold," Choryo Shuzo’s "Wakyo - Sake Lees Yuzu White," Naminooto Brewing’s "Circle," Hansharo Beer’s "Full Bloom DIPA," and Hirakata Beer’s "Session Citra White." From Yamanashi, Osaka, Nara, Hyogo, Shizuoka, and local Hirakata, it was a lineup with a wide range of origins and personalities.
On the food side, the pub announced items including a fresh vegetable plate, a tomato tasting comparison, clay-pot-cooked rice rice balls "tai," freshly fried new potato chips, domestic beef hiyuchi steak, beef loin steak, young corn spring rolls, water eggplant and zucchini, asparagus tempura, and spicy Taiwanese-style fried chicken. It is a spread that lets guests enjoy a proper meal alongside beer.
In addition, staff member Unno will present "My Curry" on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30. The third unit is announced to be seafood curry, made with bonito and kelp stock and combined with squid, shrimp, and clams. It looks set to be a very community-rooted day, where guests can enjoy draft beer tastings and seasonal dishes at the same time.
