Dr. KONG Brewing to Pour Three Beers at Nanashimachi BEER & HARVEST
Ube-based Dr. KONG Brewing will take part in Nanashimachi BEER & HARVEST on October 11 at the plaza in front of Shin-Yamaguchi Station’s north exit. The brewery will serve three beers alongside regional food, Ube beef tasting, and other local attractions.
Dr. KONG Brewing, based in Ube, Yamaguchi, will appear at Nanashimachi BEER & HARVEST on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event will be held from 10:00 to 20:00 at the plaza in front of the north exit of Shin-Yamaguchi Station.
Admission and purchases use a ticket system: one set costs ¥1,500 and includes five ¥300 tickets. Dr. KONG Brewing’s announced lineup consists of THE ANSWER, SIPSIDE DOWN, and TWO, formerly known as 20HEXAers. The selection offers visitors a chance to compare several expressions from the Ube brewery in one stop.
The event will also feature food specialties from the seven municipalities represented by Nanashimachi. From 10:00 to 12:00, visitors can sample Ube beef presented by Ube City. A rice-scooping challenge costing ¥300 and other activities are also planned, creating a broader local-food experience beyond the beer booths.
Dr. KONG Brewing grows out of Nagayama Honsake Brewery in Ube and brings a sake-brewery perspective to craft beer. Its beers make use of ingredients connected to the region, including locally grown Yamada Nishiki rice, sake lees, and local fruits. The brewery describes its mission as creating beer that makes people proud of their hometown and gives them a reason to visit Ube.
For beer fans traveling through Yamaguchi, Nanashimachi BEER & HARVEST offers an easy way to explore Ube-born beer together with the flavors of neighboring communities. A tasting flight built around Dr. KONG’s three selections could be a fitting way to experience the event’s regional character.
