Highlighting Alesong Brewing & Blending in Urawa

BEER NOVA is a beer pub in the Urawa Station East Exit area. On Thursday, April 23, it opens at 16:00, with last food orders at 22:15 and last drink orders at 22:30. Through April 30, it is running a feature on Alesong Brewing & Blending, a barrel-aging-focused brewery from Eugene, Oregon, USA.

The three main attractions this time are:

- Cuvée Soleil: A sour beer that brings together fruitiness reminiscent of a mimosa, with tangerine orange and Pinot Gris, aged in French oak barrels.
- Single Origin: A farmhouse ale made with barley, hops, and Riesling from the Gossie Farm, then naturally fermented with microorganisms derived from grapes.
- Rackhouse Reserva: A complex beer created by blending multiple base beers that were aged for a long period in different spirit barrels.

All of them offer the depth that only barrel-aging can provide, with a lineup that lets you enjoy fruity aromas, acidity, oak-derived nuances, and even richness reminiscent of dark chocolate. For anyone who wants to compare rare beers all in one place, this is hard to miss.

The taps beyond Alesong are also well stocked. On tap are Sleepy Boy from Little House Brewing, Kawagoe Beer and Marika from COEDO, Weizen, Poppo, Ale, Golden Ale, and American IPA from Chuo Line Beer Works, WILD FUNKYARD CHERRY, GOLDEN SLUMBERS, and 69IPA from Repubrew, and COEDO x WAKAZE's Sake Beer.

In the U.B.P BREWERY section, the lineup also includes Lara Kölsch, Iroha, Raspberry Light, THE HOME & AWAY CS GOSE, Woo-hoo!, URAWA CITY ALE, Meia Lua, Beer All Right, Step Over, Scissors, Hazy Celebration, Shadow, and La Bomba Real Ale ver., giving you a solid look at the personality of the local brewery scene.

From the barrel-aging spotlight to dependable local standards, BEER NOVA is an easy choice for a slow, thoughtful tasting session in Urawa.
