Carrot Club in Ikaho puts limited Ikahop pilsner on the clock
At Quatre Club Craft Beer Stand on the 150th step of Ikaho Stone Steps in Gunma, the original Ikahop pilsner is now being served in limited quantities ahead of a renewal. It is a place where visitors can enjoy a locally rooted beer in the middle of a hot spring town stroll.
The current Ikahop is running low
In the Instagram post, the shop says the present version of Ikahop will only be available in limited quantities as the beer is being renewed. Ikahop is a house-style craft pilsner tied to Ikaho, brewed with Yuki Hotaka rice from Kawaba. The result is a crisp, easy-drinking beer with a gentle softness from the rice.
A beer stand right on the stone steps
Quatre Club Craft Beer Stand sits on the grounds of Chigira Jinsen-tei at the 150th step of Ikaho's famous stone stair street. It opens at 9:30 a.m. and serves until 10:00 p.m., making it a practical stop during a walk through the hot spring district or after a soak. The official menu also includes coffee, house-made juice, and raw honey milk, so it works well even for mixed groups.
Worth catching before the recipe changes
Ikahop combines the clean finish expected from a pilsner with the softer texture brought by rice. That makes it a fitting beer for a town like Ikaho, where walking, resting, and drinking all blend into the same experience. If you want to taste the current version before the renewal changes it, this is the time to go.
