Kyoto's Beer Pub Bakushu Yumeemi Taps Brasserie Knot's "HARBOR"; a Spring-Ready Session IPA Arrives
At the Gion beer pub Bakushu Yumeemi in Kyoto, the collaboration beer "HARBOR" from Brasserie Knot and T.Y. Harbor Brewery has been tapped on draft. Built on the standard "BIRD," it is introduced as a glass that balances crispness and light drinkability with tropical and strawberry-like hop notes.
At the beer pub "Bakushu Yumeemi" along Shijo Street in Kyoto's Higashiyama Ward, a new guest tap began with service on March 25.
This time on tap is Brasserie Knot's "HARBOR" (Session IPA). In the post, it is introduced as a collaboration with T.Y. Harbor Brewery, with a flavor design that layers tropical and strawberry-like hop character on top of a "BIRD-based" crisp bitterness and refreshing body. It is spring-friendly beer that goes down easily while also offering a three-dimensional aroma.
The shop also commented that it "may sell out quickly," so if you're interested, it's best to visit early. Alongside the beer, freshly made salsiccia has also arrived on the food side. The combination of beer's refreshing character and a snack that firmly carries the meat's umami should be a strong pairing.
"Bakushu Yumeemi" is a shop on the second floor in the Gion area, with a calm atmosphere where you can face a single glass in peace. The post also makes clear its stance of "no large groups, solo drinkers welcome," making it a good fit for craft beer fans who want to drink slowly at the counter.
Beyond the buzz of a new tap opening, the shop's character also comes through in the way it talks about the daily accumulation of work, including even beer line cleaning. As one of the guest beers worth drinking in Kyoto right now, this is a tap to keep on your radar.
