Yamaguchi Local Beer Sets Up at the Oedo Beer Festival in Nakano Shiki no Mori Park, Featuring 10 Types Including Peach Weizen
At Season 1 of “Oedo Beer Festival 2026 Spring,” held in the event area of Nakano Shiki no Mori Park from May 20 to 24, Yamaguchi Local Beer (Yamaguchi Narutaki Kogen Brewery) from Yamaguchi City is exhibiting. The lineup includes 10 beers that make the most of local ingredients, such as Peach Weizen and Yamada Nishiki Lager.
At Season 1 of “Oedo Beer Festival 2026 Spring,” being held in the event area of Nakano Shiki no Mori Park from May 20 to 24, Yamaguchi Local Beer (Yamaguchi Narutaki Kogen Brewery) from Yamaguchi City has set up a booth. Visitors can sample beers made with Yamaguchi barley, fruit, and sake rice all at once, creating a stand where the character of the region comes through directly in the glass.
On offer are 10 varieties: `Yamaguchi Local Beer IPA`, which brings out a firm hop bitterness; `Yamaguchi Local Beer Peach Weizen`, made with ripe peaches from Nijo in Yamaguchi City; `Yamaguchi Local Beer Stout`, with the roasty aroma of roasted malt taking center stage; `Yamaguchi Local Beer Pale Ale`, refreshing with citrus and citrus fruit aromas; `Yamaguchi Local Beer Yamaguchi no Mugi`, brewed with 100% Yamaguchi-grown barley; `Yamaguchi Local Beer Yamada Nishiki Lager`, made with the sake rice Yamada Nishiki; `Yamaguchi Local Beer WHITEFOX After-Bath IPA`, based on a West Coast IPA; `Yamaguchi Local Beer Setouchi Weizen`, where the aroma from wheat malt can be enjoyed; `Yamaguchi Local Beer Hagi Yuzu Ale`, which makes the most of the fragrance of Hagi-grown yuzu; and `Yamaguchi Local Beer Tsunoshima Sunset Amber`, evoking the evening glow.
There is also a four-beer tasting set for first-time Yamaguchi Local Beer drinkers. Yamaguchi Narutaki Kogen Brewery is based in Shimokosaba, Yamaguchi City, and its hallmark is flavor built around local ingredients. At the Nakano venue, visitors can enjoy the differences in style all at once, from the bitterness of an IPA, the softness of a Weizen, the aroma of a fruit ale, to the rice-like nuance of a lager.
