Event Details


The second installment of the oyster-themed event, the "Oyster Stout Fair," will begin at the brewpub And Beer in Koenji, Tokyo. The event runs from Wednesday, April 15 through Sunday, April 19.

Beer to Drink


The star of this round is And Beer's "Kesennuma Oyster Stout 2026." It is an oyster stout made generously with oysters from Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, and has an ABV of 5.3%. As the name suggests, it is a beer that puts the character of oysters front and center.

Pairings with Food


During the event, oyster biryani and curry will be available every day. The curry changes daily, and they will also serve a dashi-poured oyster biryani taught directly by Toho Seso. At dinner time, oyster-based dishes will also be on the menu, creating a lineup designed to be enjoyed alongside the beer and food together.

About the Shop


And Beer is a brewpub that started in Koenji in 2017. While brewing functions are now centralized in Katsunuma, the Koenji shop continues to propose pairings of original spice dishes and house-brewed beer. Since quantities are limited, it seems best to visit early if you're interested.
