New location announcement

On May 20, Kirari Brewery announced on Instagram that it will open a new location on Monday, May 25. At the new site, in addition to its existing shop sales, a standing-style taproom will be added so visitors can casually enjoy freshly poured craft beer inside the store.

First brew: Kinkan Pale Ale

The beer debuting in time for the opening is the first batch brewed at the new location, "Kinkan Pale Ale." Based in Yamaga, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kirari Brewery has continued making beers that make use of local agricultural products and specialties. This beer, made with Yamaga kumquats, is positioned as a drink that reflects the brewery's close ties to the local community.

Kinkan Pale Ale is also introduced in the company's product guide as part of a series that uses Yamaga City's specialty products as adjuncts, and it is characterized by a design that brings out aromas and sweetness derived from the fruit, along with a moderate acidity. The new location is expected to focus on beers that make use of such locally sourced ingredients.

Opening celebration and business information

The post says that, as an opening celebration, the first 30 customers will receive one original item. The choice is either an original can badge or an eco cup.

For the time being, business will run from May 25 through May 30, with hours from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The shop will be closed on May 31, and business days from June onward will be announced later. The address is 1411-3 Yamaga, Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture. Parking is not allowed in front of the store, and customers are asked to use the parking lot of the adjacent Sagawa Clinic.

Kirari Brewery is a brewery that has shared the character of the local area through craft beer made with ingredients from Yamaga. This new location opening looks set to mark a step where people can experience that effort more directly.
