The brewpub Makinohara Ale, based in Hatsu, Makinohara City, shared information on Instagram about its appearance at the "Shizuoka Craft Beer Jamboree in Mishima." The event will be held over two days, Saturday, November 1, 2025, through Sunday, November 2, 2025. The venue will be the Sanshin Myukun Hall on the first floor of the Mishima Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Shirataki Park area.

This event is built around beer service from member breweries of the Shizuoka Craft Beer Cooperative, offering a chance to experience craft beer culture in eastern Shizuoka. With many breweries gathering over the two days, one of the biggest attractions is being able to compare beers and follow each brewery's character through tasting.

Also being held at the same time, TAP ON SURUGA AWARD will include categories for evaluating new craft beers made with secondary ingredients from Mishima City and Numazu City, as well as beers designed to pair with local specialties such as dried fish and Mishima croquettes. Visitor voting is also planned. Rather than being just a tasting event, it is designed to let attendees experience firsthand the compatibility between "local ingredients and craft beer."

As a brewpub rooted in its community, Makinohara Ale has long proposed an "out-of-town craft beer experience" as an extension of the beer you drink in the shop. For anyone who wants to enjoy breweries across Shizuoka, this Mishima appearance is not to be missed. For those making the trip, it is recommended to rely on public transportation and check the booths in advance so you can make the rounds efficiently.
