Sakazuki Brewing to Tap Summer Schwarz "Kuroageha" on June 3
Sakazuki Brewing in Kitasenju, Adachi Ward, Tokyo, announced its tap lineup for May 30, the day of the Adachi Fireworks Festival. It also said it plans to tap its new summer Schwarz, "Kuroageha," on June 3.
Sakazuki Brewing, which operates a brewpub attached to its brewery in Kitasenju, Adachi Ward, Tokyo, announced its beer offerings for May 30 on Instagram. The lineup spans 18 beers, with a broad range that includes lagers, pilsners, IPAs, sours, and stouts. Drinks made with fruit and spices also appear, showing the wide expressive range that characterizes the brewery.
On tap that day were 《shy girl》, a Bohemian pilsner; 《shy daddy》, an American lager; 《after the rain》, a fruit IPA made with Tosa buntan; 《KISS ME》, a peanut chocolate milk stout; and 《Yoiyami no Kuro》, a British imperial stout. The guest beer 《Super Dry (Asahi Breweries)》 was also included, creating a lineup that moves between the pub's staples and limited releases.
What stands out most in the post is a new beer called 《Kuroageha》, scheduled to be tapped next Wednesday, June 3. It is the brewery's third Schwarz, and although it has a black appearance, it is designed to feel light on the palate, with roasty notes reminiscent of coffee and chocolate, followed by a slight caramel sweetness and a clean finish. Another defining feature is that, despite being a dark beer, it is brewed as a lager rather than an ale.
On the same day, Sakazuki Brewing announced a 1 p.m. opening to coincide with the Adachi Fireworks Festival and warned that the area around Kitasenju Station would be crowded after the fireworks ended. It is also a post that shows, in concrete terms, how to enjoy freshly made beer on a day when a local event overlaps with everyday business. June looks set to bring more seasonal new releases, starting with 《Kuroageha》.
