New On Tap

TAP & TUMBLER, located in the east exit area of Ebisu Station, is a beer pub known for its self-tap system, where guests pour directly from the server themselves. The interior centers on standing-room seating, and also includes counter seats and bench seating. On the blackboard, the beers available that day are listed along with their ABV and price.

The new tap announced in the May 12 post is GROUNDTAP BREWERY / KANZASHI. The style is COFFEE DARK LAGER, and the ABV is 5.0%. The post describes it as a beer that layers a fruity aroma reminiscent of prunes, brought out by coffee, with malt-derived richness. It has a mellow, full-bodied mouthfeel, but the finish is clean and light. The explanation that it can be enjoyed like iced coffee also brings to mind the balance between lager crispness and roasted character.

One of TAP & TUMBLER's charms is that, alongside these one-off guest beers, 15 taps are always changing on the lineup. When a keg kicks, it is replaced with a new label, so the fun lies in encountering a different selection each time you visit. In addition, the shop offers kaku-uchi, canned beer sales, and growler fills, so you can choose whether to have just one drink inside or take home a beer you liked.

The post also said that solo guests, pets, and children are welcome. For beer lovers, this is a place where they can stop in without any stiffness and compare small pours at their own pace. Whether you are looking for your first drink in Ebisu or stopping by in the middle of a pub crawl, it is a spot that broadens your beer horizons.
