Chiitoko Shoten in Shimosuwa taps four beers, including KASUMI
Chiitoko Shoten, a dagashi, beer, and coffee bar in Shimosuwa, posted a June 3 update listing four draft beers, led by Shiga Kogen Beer’s KASUMI and Ise Kadoya’s Strawberry & Raspberry Sour IPA.
Chiitoko Shoten in Shimosuwa, Nagano, is a beer pub where dagashi, craft beer, and coffee share the same space. Local tourism information describes it as a friendly spot where children and adults can spend time together, and the bags of sweets at the entrance set the tone for the place.
In its June 3 post, the shop announced business hours of 12:00 to 22:00 and also noted a price adjustment on some items, explaining that the change is part of keeping the business going. Even on days when the weather feels unsettled, the shop keeps its taps moving.
Draft beer lineup
- TG Pilsner (4.5%) / Baeren Brewery
- KASUMI (4.5%) / Shiga Kogen Beer
- Sour IPA Strawberry & Raspberry (6.5%) / Ise Kadoya Brewery
- Eleven Eleven Ten ~TOI TOI TO~ (8.0%) / Kyoto Brewing
KASUMI is described as a session hazy IPA with clear citrus character, moderate bitterness, and a dry, easy-drinking finish. The Strawberry & Raspberry Sour IPA combines two berries with acidity and tropical hop notes, making it a fitting choice for the current season. With a pilsner, a hazy IPA, a sour IPA, and a stronger 8.0% beer on tap, the lineup gives drinkers a wide range to choose from.
The food side also matters here. The post lists house-made items such as shortbread, banana bread, whole-wheat scones, and sausage rolls. That makes Chiitoko Shoten a useful stop for anyone who wants beer with a casual snack rather than a formal meal. On Wednesdays it opens at noon, and from Thursday through Monday it opens at 10:00, so it works well for both daytime and evening drinking.
