Collaboration details

BREW CLASSIC shared a new collaboration beer brewed with Galibier, a charcuterie shop in Nomi, Ishikawa, and the Nomikkeller Running Club, a trail-running group based in the same area. The beer is called Arino Ichigeki.

It is a New Zealand IPA with 6.5% ABV. The recipe uses Pilsner and Wheat Malt, with Riwaka and Nelson hops and Verdant IPA yeast. In the post, the brewery describes flavors that move from sweet stone fruit to a firm citrus-zest bitterness.

Tasting angle

The key point here is balance: aromatic, juicy, and bitter, yet still easy to drink. BREW CLASSIC frames it as a beer that can be enjoyed after a run, so the finish is designed to feel refreshing rather than heavy. The hazy appearance, soft mouthfeel, and well-attenuated body all support that drinkable IPA profile.

Pairing suggestions are also part of the story. The post highlights salami and sausages, with saucisson sec singled out as a team favorite. That makes the beer feel built not just for solo drinking, but for charcuterie pairing as well.

As a Kanazawa brewery with a direct taproom, BREW CLASSIC continues to tie its beers to local food and regional connections. This release is a good example of a beer that is interesting both in the glass and in context.
