Grau Craft beer bar, located in Naema, Fujimino City, is a beer pub with six taps centered on domestic breweries. Guests can also do a three-beer tasting comparison, and in addition to bottles and cans, the bar offers snacks such as spice curry, smoked items, and fries. In an Instagram post on May 10, the bar announced an update to its tap list along with business information.
The main highlight this time is HOPKOTAN's Bohemian Pilsner "AKIRA's Day Off." Brewed with 100% Kami-Furano Cascade hops, it is described as having malt character reminiscent of honey and bread, moderate bitterness, and a substantial grainy body. Like HOPKOTAN ORIGINALS' "upopo," it is a pilsner built around locally sourced hops, but this one is crafted with a stronger focus on drinkability, making it a beer to savor slowly in a pint glass.
The six beers on tap that day were:
- CAMADO x Grau "Kiln Ash" (West Coast IPA)
- NAMACHA-n x CAMADO "CAMA x NAMA New World IPA" (New World IPA)
- TAROS "AWAKENING" (TDH Hazy IPA)
- HOPKOTAN "AKIRA's Day Off" (Bohemian-Style Pilsner)
- CAMADO "Baker's Brew #0 Prologue (Barrel Aged ver.)" (Barrel Aged Bread Yeast Belgian Tripel)
- Kanpai! x Grau "Naemazaka Blueberry Sour" (Fruits Sour)
The range of styles is broad, spanning everything from West Coast IPA to sour beers and even a barrel-aged Belgian tripel. Along with the newly tapped hazy, it is a lineup that invites side-by-side tasting.
As a preview of what is coming next, the bar also announced NARA "FUNCTION" (American-Belgo-Style Ale) and Onidensetsu "Kinoni Pale Ale ADHA-1631 Single Ver." (Pale Ale). Even with a compact space, the shop clearly keeps refreshing its daily pours by mixing collaboration brews with limited releases. Curry Day is also scheduled for May 15, and the chance to pair the beer with a first-time tantan curry is very much in keeping with the shop's style.
