At the beer pub Novel Craft in Chitose-Karasuyama, notice was given that it would open at 5:00 p.m. on May 16, and Kemker's Appelwien Blend No. 01-2022 - apple and quince is being served By The Glass.

This bottle is a cider made with apples and quince, and it fermented in oak barrels for 12 months. The post highlighted citrus- and flower-like aromas, a light oxidized note, barrel-derived nuances, and a well-balanced combination of acidity and tannin. It is a different style from beer, but it is not to be missed for anyone interested in the depth that comes from barrel aging and the fruit character.

The in-house tap list was also shared. The lineup includes Garage x LHG's ADRENOCHROME, Trap Door's Trap Door IPA, Bellwoods' Grisette, Cave D'occi's Sun Dance, falo brewing's Tsubame Draft, Novel Craft Brewing's Splore and Sweep, and Sapporo's Edelpils. The selection ranges from a barrel-aged pour to a grisette, IPA, and draft lager.

The food is a three-herb chicken keema curry. Made with thyme, oregano, and basil along with lemon and nam pla, the post says it pairs well with the tart beer. Putting a glass at the center while also enjoying it with curry is very much in keeping with this shop.

On Sunday the 17th, Novel Craft will be closed for event preparations. At its sister bar reverb, a tap takeover featuring the Tochigi brewery mingel is scheduled. As a beer pub in Chitose-Karasuyama, it looks set to be a day that draws attention both to the pours inside the shop and to the sister-shop event.
