A collaboration of food and beer at Cross Gate Kanazawa

HANA surprise (Liquor World Hana, Cross Gate Kanazawa) has announced a collaboration event with Bistro Oriental. The event will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in two sessions: Session 1: 15:00-17:00, Session 2: 18:00-20:00. The participation fee is 6,000 yen.

HANA surprise is a select shop specializing in wine, cheese, and craft beer, located on the 1st floor of Cross Gate Kanazawa, west of Kanazawa Station. Its adjoining counter is notable for offering seasonal recommended wine tastings, pairings with cheese, and draft craft beer.

This time, the venue is Bistro Oriental in the same Cross Gate Kanazawa complex. The post says guests will enjoy 4 or 5 dishes by Chef Tajima, along with all-you-can-drink craft beer from Oriental Brewing and Liquor World Hana wines. The setup, which brings together Bistro cuisine and the drink recommendations of a craft beer shop at the same table, is a fitting match for a commercial complex in front of Kanazawa Station.

Reservations are said to be accepted via DM or phone to Bistro Oriental. The notice also states that a cancellation fee will apply if you cancel the day before, so it would be wise to confirm early if you're considering attending.

It looks like it will be a night to slowly pair food and beer at Cross Gate Kanazawa, just a short walk from the station. This is an event worth watching for how HANA surprise's eye for curation and Bistro Oriental's cuisine come together.
