Open with 10 Taps on March 29

Hinomoto Brewing & Beer Stand will be open on Sunday, March 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. In a post, the brewery also reported that it had set up a booth at the Bunkyo Sakura Festival on Harimazaka the previous day, and that everything prepared there had sold out. The Komagome taproom will continue operating, making it a day that seems well suited to spending time with beer.

On Tap That Day

1. Kohatu Pale Ale / NZ Pale Ale, 5.5%
2. DH Red Ale / Dry Hopped Red Ale, 5.5%
3. Sauvin Belgo Brut / Dry Hopped Saison, 7%
4. Ryūsōsōsō / Italian Pilsner, 5.5%
5. Yuzu Sour Saison / 6%
6. Black IPA a.k.a. Black Sheep Ale / Black IPA, 7% (Sanriku Beer collaboration)
7. Komagome Brown / Brown Saison, 6%
8. Komagome Best Bitter / English Best Bitter, 4.5%
9. Belgian Hazy IPA a.k.a. White Sheep Ale / Belgian Hazy IPA, 6.5% (Sanriku Beer collaboration)
10. Kurotobi #4 / Belgian Stout, 7%

The lineup ranges widely, from a pale ale made with New Zealand hops to an Italian pilsner, a yuzu sour saison, and a Belgian stout. With everything from lighter beers to fuller-bodied ones, it is a lineup that makes side-by-side tasting easy. In particular, "Black Sheep Ale" and "White Sheep Ale," collaborations with Sanriku Beer, stand out in the article.

A Komagome Spot to Enjoy with Tapas

On Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, seasonal tapas by guest chef Tatsunosuke Taba will also be available. Normally this brewpub serves only domestic craft beer and keeps the food offering modest, but on this day you can also enjoy a plate to go with your beer, which is a welcome addition. With the easy-to-use 3:00 p.m. opening on weekends and holidays, it is a place well suited to lingering over glasses in Komagome during cherry blossom season.
