Beer House Hobbit, a beer pub in Kawaramachi, Hirakata (Osaka), updated its tap list on August 28. The post highlights two fresh taps: Yatsugatake Brewery’s Cold Brew Coffee Lager and Minoh Beer’s Pilsner. The lineup pairs a coffee-accented lager with a classic pilsner, making the contrast in aroma and finish easy to compare.

Cold Brew Coffee Lager is described as being based on the brewery’s regular Kiyosato Lager, with flavor drawn from lightly roasted Ethiopian coffee beans. It keeps the clean lager finish while adding a clear coffee aroma. The Pilsner uses only Czech Saaz hops, giving it a noble-hop aroma and a crisp, straightforward profile.

The day’s tap board featured six beers in total: Hirakata Beer’s Session Citra White, Ushitora Brewery’s Asyura Triple IPA, Nomcraft Brewing’s Octopus King, and Iwategura Brewery’s Tomato Ale alongside the two openings. Beer House Hobbit positions itself as a place to enjoy draft craft beer with food, and the post also notes a house-made suuchika and vegetable plate served from 7:00 p.m.
