TAP&GROWLER Shimokitazawa announced its March 17 tap refresh. A total of three beers have been newly tapped from Cycad Brewing, Totopia Brewery, and B.M.B Brewery, offering a lineup that lets you compare a wide range of styles, from Amber IPA and DDH Hazy IPA to Wood-Aged Brown Porter.
Three New Taps Opened on March 17
In TAP&GROWLER Shimokitazawa's latest post, the new beers tapped that day were announced. This time, the following three beers were added:
- Cycad Brewing / Riedlei3 (Amber IPA, ABV 6.5%)
- Totopia Brewery / Keyphobia (DDH Hazy IPA, ABV 6.0%)
- B.M.B Brewery / The Giving Oak (Wood-Aged Brown Porter, ABV 5.0%)
The lineup combines two IPAs with different hop expressions and a brown porter that promises barrel-aging nuances. Whether you want something crisp and easy to drink, something aroma-driven, or something malty and finishing with depth, it's an easy lineup to build a whole session around in one place.
A Handy Beer Pub, Shimokitazawa Style
The shop is located a 3-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station, and in addition to counter-style drinking, it also offers growler fills by the ounce. According to the shop guide, each order is filled into a growler with a dedicated filling machine, and the serving approach is adjusted to suit each beer style by tuning the gas ratio. Another feature is the combination of rotating taps centered on domestic beers and bottle sales that include imported labels.
The post also makes clear that solo visits, pets, and children are all welcome. It looks like it will be an easy day to choose whether to enjoy a fresh pour on the spot or pick a favorite beer to take home.
