“Kurage” is the second beer in a project connecting art and social support. Its label depicts a jellyfish floating through water and glowing in a spectrum of colors. Part of the beer’s sales supports the provision of art supplies to after-school day-care services Pengu Art and Atelier Pengu.
The beer is an Italian Pilsner brewed with eight hop varieties. A soft sweetness from Hokkaido malt forms the base, followed by green, citrus and herbal nuances. Hallertau Mittelfrüh contributes a refined, gentle bitterness, while wet-hop Calista adds floral aromas and impressions of red fruit.
