A lineup that lets you compare WCB IPAs from three angles

In a post from Craftbeer Sloth House, three West Coast Brewing IPAs are introduced. While all three center on hop-driven aroma, each has a distinct character.

- Full Hop Alchemist r7 (Hazy Double IPA)
A tropical aroma reminiscent of ripe orange, pineapple, mango, and papaya. It is said to stand out for its balance of refreshing citrus-peel-like bitterness and a subtle peach-like sweetness.

- Hop Fua (Hazy IPA)
Grapefruit-like citrus and a grassy impression take the lead. Sweet notes of pineapple and peach are layered with mixed berry and herbal tones, finishing with a gentle bitterness.

- Special Delivery: Ramosa (Hazy Double IPA)
A dry-hop design built around the new Ramosa variety, combined with Citra CRYO. This is a beer with a strong tropical character reminiscent of pineapple and mango, plus orange-like citrus and a texture that evokes oat milk.

The atmosphere of the bar and how to enjoy it

Sloth House is a beer pub in Yokohama's Tarumachi area. A suggestion like this, lining up closely related styles from the same brewery, is especially appealing for IPA fans because it makes side-by-side tasting easier and more precise. If you start with a Hazy IPA and work your way step by step toward a Hazy Double IPA, it becomes easier to notice differences in body, sweetness, and the lingering bitterness.

On a night spent exploring what you like in an IPA, trying these three at the same temperature and in the same type of glass should make the differences in hop expression stand out even more clearly.
