Phoenix Cider & Brewing was founded by Adachi, who trained in Portland and Seattle in 2018. The post says he ran a brewery and taproom in Miyazaki through 2025, greeting guests himself and hosting visitors from more than 50 countries. He is now based in Tokyo and continues to run the release event series “PhoenixAct” several times a year.
The featured beer is VOLA Session IPA. It is the third release from Kichineko Beer, a project by Ahito Inazawa, best known as the drummer of NUMBER GIRL and a member of VOLA & THE ORIENTAL MACHINE. As a Session IPA, it is built for a light, easy-drinking profile with a bright hop aroma.
The lineup is not limited to beer. The craft cola is finished with spices added in front of guests, and cider will also be poured. For drinkers who want to compare beer, cider, and a spiced non-alcoholic option in one stop, this is a neat late-summer event.
