GROW BREW HOUSE, a brewpub located in Nishi-Kawaguchi, Saitama, will participate in Mogura Beer Camp 2026 on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The event will take place around Doai Station on the JR Joetsu Line in Minakami, Gunma. Known as Japan’s “mole station,” Doai Station has a lower platform reached by descending 486 steps from the station building. The underground platform maintains a relatively stable temperature throughout the year and is used to store and mature beer.
The featured beer is Mogura-aged beer, which has been matured underground for approximately one year. The stable environment allows the beer’s flavors and aromas to gradually harmonize, offering a profile distinct from that of freshly fermented beer. With GROW BREW HOUSE joining the event, visitors can enjoy a beer experience that connects local brewing with the unique character of Doai Station.
The program is also scheduled to include a group “Kanpai Time,” a beer rock-paper-scissors game, a stamp rally, and live performances by local bands. Surrounded by the natural scenery of Minakami, guests can enjoy craft beer alongside music and the atmosphere of the area. Part of the event’s proceeds will be donated to forest conservation activities in Minakami.
GROW BREW HOUSE operates as a neighborhood craft brewery with an adjoining taproom. Located within walking distance of Nishi-Kawaguchi Station, it serves its own small-batch beers alongside food and regularly takes part in events that connect brewers, drinkers, and the local community.
