Yokohama Bay Brewing Kannai Main Store Adds 10 More Yuzu Trees
Yokohama Bay Brewing’s Kannai main store said it has planted 10 additional yuzu trees for its yuzu weiss orchard, bringing the total to 31. The tap list includes 14 beers, led by Bay Pilsner and Yuzu Weiss, plus two guest beers from Minoh Beer.
Yokohama Bay Brewing Kannai Main Store, a directly operated beer pub in Fukutomi-cho Higashi-dori, Naka Ward, Yokohama, posted an update on its Instagram account. The post listed business hours as 16:00–23:00 (last order 22:30) and reported that 10 more yuzu trees had been planted at the brewery’s own orchard dedicated to Yuzu Weiss.
With the latest planting, the orchard now has 31 yuzu trees in total. Some of them are in their fourth and fifth year, so the brewery expects to begin harvesting small amounts of fruit from next year. At the same time, it noted that it will take around 15 years before the trees produce fruit at full strength. The small fruit that had developed on the seedlings was harvested and brought back to the shop, where guests can pick it up and enjoy the aroma.
The day’s BEER MENU featured 14 beers. Bay Pilsner / Yokohama Bay Brewing was listed with a WORLD BEER CUP 2025 gold note, while Yuzu Weiss / Yokohama Bay Brewing carried WORLD BEER CUP 2024 gold and WORLD BEER CUP 2025 silver notes. Other Yokohama Bay Brewing beers on the list were Bay Pilsner Haratau Edition, Bay Dark, Bay Weiss, Weekend Journey, Freestyle, Freedom, SARA, Sprint IPA, Steel Soul Fixy, and Flatland.
Two guest taps from Minoh Beer were also included: Papa Zaru Lager and Hoppy Weizen. The lineup makes the store a straightforward place to compare Yokohama Bay Brewing’s core beers, award-winning Yuzu Weiss, and a couple of guest offerings in one visit.
