Open Air Minatoyama Brewery to renew its beer counter on July 15
Open Air Minatoyama Brewery in Kobe’s Hyogo Ward will reopen its beer counter on July 15. The renewal comes alongside the transformation of the former food hall into Lostcrafts, and special pricing will run from July 15 to 31.
Open Air Minatoyama Brewery launched in April 2022 in a former elementary school lunchroom in Kobe. Since then, it has brewed craft beer that highlights local water and ingredients while reflecting the changing seasons.
This renewal follows the redevelopment of the second-floor former food hall at NATURE STUDIO into a new space called Lostcrafts. The concept centers on repair, vintage items, workshops, a cafe, and goods, with an emphasis on extending the life of things through care and use. In step with that shift, the open air beer counter has also been refreshed.
The counter will continue to offer six taps, open air merchandise, and canned beer for takeout. From July 15 through July 31, the brewery will serve all six beers at special prices: 800 yen for a glass and 1,000 yen for a pint. The address is 2F, 2-24-2 Yukino Goshomachi, Hyogo Ward, Kobe, and opening hours are 11:00-18:00 on weekdays and 10:00-18:00 on weekends and holidays.
Lostcrafts is designed as a place where beer can be enjoyed alongside a broader culture of repair and reuse. For Open Air Minatoyama Brewery, the renewal looks like a practical update to its counter and a clearer expression of the brewery’s role within the local community.
