Two Guest Beers at 444 BEYOND

At the beer pub "444 BEYOND" in Mizue, Tokyo, two new tap arrivals were introduced for the Saturday, April 25 service. In a post, "ISLAND DELIGHT" from Chiba’s Shiokaze Blue Lab Brewery and "Tohoku 6 Hop" from Aomori’s Be Easy Brewing were announced.

"ISLAND DELIGHT" is an Okinawa shikuwasa gose. With an ABV of 5.0% and IBU of 17, it is introduced as a beer that makes use of the lactic tartness from fermentation, the acidity of shikuwasa, and the gentle saltiness of snow salt. Its light acidity, balanced with a hint of bitterness and salt, makes it the kind of beer you want to drink from spring into early summer.

Meanwhile, "Tohoku 6 Hop" is a Hazy IPA. At 6.0% ABV, it is said to be made with plenty of New Zealand hops from Freestyle Hops, resulting in a fruity and juicy flavor. The addition of oats and wheat gives it a soft mouthfeel and a moderate body.

444 BEYOND is a beer pub that operates as a craft beer stand in Mizue. The post also included a call for new staff to work inside its pistachio-colored interior, giving off a sense of being an easy place to stop by in everyday life. It is the kind of spot to keep in mind when you want guest beers that are unpretentious but still full of character.

Business hours that day were 14:00-21:00, with last order at 20:30. If you’re interested, it’s worth stopping by to compare the two beers.
