Two new tap beers have been announced at the beer pub Bar FUKURO in Kamata, Tokyo. The post confirms DD4D Brewing's "Journeyman IPA" from Matsuyama, Ehime, and TIELS Brewing's "Kinkan & Ogonkan Saison" from Mishima, Shizuoka. Both are being offered as guest beers on the bar's draft lineup.
"Journeyman IPA" is a West Coast IPA with an ABV of 7.0%. In addition to hop-driven aromas of pine, white grapes, and meadow-like notes, it is said to open up with juicy flavors reminiscent of lime and grapefruit. It is characterized by a moderate bitterness and a clean finish, and is introduced as a beer that balances vivid aroma with easy drinkability.
Meanwhile, "Kinkan & Ogonkan Saison" is a Fruit Saison with an ABV of 5.5%. It brings together the sweetness and distinctive flavor of kumquat and the citrus aroma and acidity of ogonkan, all tied together by the dry character of saison yeast. The result is a beer with bright fruit expression that does not lean too far toward sweetness.
