Operating Theme for the 6th Anniversary
CIDER SHACK in Higashi 1-chome, Shibuya, will operate from May 30 to June 7 as a 6th-anniversary appreciation period ahead of its June 1 anniversary. During the period, the shop will change its theme day by day, offering a program that reaffirms its current direction.
Daily Highlights
- May 30 to 31: a program looking back at the Japanese cider scene
- June 1: regular service on the anniversary day itself
- June 2 to 4: opening of Le Vain Vif's 6-year-aged cider
- June 5 to 6: Matsumoto Brewery takes over with 6 taps
- June 7: the final day to enjoy the lingering atmosphere of the anniversary week
Pouring during this period will be Le Vain Vif's 2019 vintage (released in 2020) 'Ao', 'Mizuiro', and 'Aka', along with aged ciders including the 2020 vintage. Some labels will be available only while supplies last, so what you can drink will change from day to day.
CIDER SHACK is a beer pub located on the 1st floor of Okuyama Building, 1-27-9 Higashi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Centered on craft beer and cider, it is known as a place where people can casually stop by and enjoy a drink. During the anniversary week, the shop's character comes together in the form of cider aging, a domestic brewery lineup, and day-by-day programming.
Note that on May 31, the shop is scheduled to open at 4:00 p.m. due to a building water outage. Because it is a small shop, this anniversary event seems likely to be one where you will want to follow the lineup as it changes little by little throughout the period.
