Kanazawa brewery BREW CLASSIC reported two wins at World Beer Awards 2026 in the UK. Its flagship Dris no Jaguar won Gold-Country Winner in Hoppy Wheat, while Tuatara took Silver in Milkshake IPA/New England IPA.
Kanazawa-based brewery BREW CLASSIC announced that two beers entered into the World Beer Awards 2026, an international competition held in the UK, both earned honors.
The brewery’s regular beer, Dris no Jaguar, was named Gold-Country Winner in the Hoppy Wheat category. BREW CLASSIC describes it as its only core beer, served on draft year-round at the taproom. The beer is said to showcase layered fruitiness from Belgian yeast and hops.
Tuatara received Silver in the Milkshake IPA/New England IPA category. Brewed with plenty of New Zealand hops, it aims for a soft, juicy profile reminiscent of snack pineapple and stone fruit. BREW CLASSIC says it is currently out of stock at the brewery, but the team hopes to refine and release it again in the future.
BREW CLASSIC is a craft brewery near Kanazawa Port. Its direct taproom, Taproom BREW CLASSIC, is located in Katamachi, Kanazawa, and is open from 13:00 to 21:00, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
