Hinomoto Brewing & Beer Stand, the brewpub in Komagome, Tokyo, will be open on Sunday, April 19 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. While the brewery will be serving at the Vegan Gourmet Festival that day, the taproom will host "Beer and Records" from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Organized by WOO-EEE-WOO STORE, the event will feature DJ Ichiro and Guest DJ Ringino taking turns on the decks, creating a laid-back setting to spend a holiday evening with music and beer.
The highlight of the day is the 10-tap lineup. The selection includes NZ Pale Ale "Kohatu Pale Ale," Dry Hopped Red Ale "DH Red Ale," Dry Hopped Saison "Sauvin Belgo Brut," Italian Pilsner "Ryusui Soso," and Yuzu Sour Saison "Yunosu Saison." The range is broad, from bright pale ales to saisons with pronounced acidity and aroma, and even pilsners, making it easy to pick something to suit your mood.
Also on tap, as a collaboration with Sanriku Beer, are "Black Sheep Ale" (Black IPA) and "White Sheep Ale" (Belgian Hazy IPA). To finish, "Kurotobi #4," a Belgian Stout, rounds out the lineup, making it appealing as a single place where you can follow a wide variety of styles.
True to its character as a brewpub attached to a brewery, Hinomoto Brewing & Beer Stand puts its house-brewed personality front and center. Located in the quiet neighborhood of Honkomagome in Bunkyo Ward, it is a place where you can enjoy beer itself as the main attraction without relying on elaborate food. Because it opens at 3:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays, it is also convenient for anyone who wants to start with a first drink in the afternoon.
