Umbrella, the basement beer pub near Osaka’s Ohatsu Tenjin area, opened at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17. True to its name and focus, the lineup leans toward beers that make sense for people who like both classic pours and modern craft styles.

Beers on tap

- Ise Kadoya Beer (Mie) “Mr. Dunk” - DDH West Coast IPA
- Two Rabbits Brewing (Shiga) “Hopzilla Motueka” - Extra Pale Ale
- Minoh Beer (Osaka) “Gurefuru Sour” - Fruit Sour Ale
- Guinness - Draught Guinness
- Kirin Beer - Kirin Lager

The selection spans a hop-forward IPA, a bright Extra Pale Ale, a fruit-driven sour, and two familiar staples: Guinness and Kirin Lager. For beer fans, that makes the night easy to tailor, whether the goal is a focused hop session or a slower round that moves from modern craft into classic pint culture.

Umbrella also announced a beer ticket deal: six minimum-size craft-beer servings for 5,800 yen, usable for a Guinness pint at the basement venue as well. The ticket is valid for six months from purchase and will end once sold out.

Looking ahead, the shop listed closures on Sunday, June 21, and Sunday, June 28, plus a 10th-anniversary party for “umbrella RiB” on July 11 and 12.
