GROUNDTAP BREWERY in Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture, has introduced the spring Hazy IPA "TSUTSUJI." The label depicts the Akebono-tsutsuji azalea that blooms across the Ishizuchi mountain range in spring, giving the beer a finish that feels as if the local scenery and the changing seasons have been poured straight into the glass.

In the tasting notes, the beer is said to combine the fruitiness of ripe mango and berries with an earthy aroma, while the body sits on the lighter side of medium. It is substantial enough to satisfy, yet finishes clean, with a refreshing aftertaste and a green-grass-like lingering impression. It strikes a balance between brightness and drinkability, making it an easy beer to enjoy during the outing season.

GROUNDTAP BREWERY is a brewery supported by "Uchinuki," the water culture of Saijo in Ehime. Its careful approach to reflecting local scenery and seasonal themes in beer is also clearly evident in this TSUTSUJI. Combining a motif reminiscent of spring in Ishizuchi with the bright fruitiness of hops, this beer naturally fits the spring tap lineup.
